At Cyrte the disruptive impact of ICT innovations on the market is the cornerstone of our investment cases. To determine the potential impact of disruptive innovations, we analyze historical patterns of technological developments and their effect on economies and societies. The problem with disruptive innovations however, is that historical data can be used to spot the trends but not to determine where the trend breaks. This moment is crucial in our cases. 

To improve our insight into the dynamics of change, we have developed a forward looking scenario based reasoning approach. We build and test our scenarios with a network of over 200 members in our so-called board of inspiration. The focus is always on social change, the roll-out of technology and the impact on the global market place.

Cyrte is currently conducting extensive research in new investment themes for the coming years. These themes vary from smart living in networked environments and the rise of the quantum society to the road towards more sustainability.
