SRI POLICY
Cyrte Investments recognizes that, as an Investment Manager, it also has social responsibility. We take the norms and values that exist in our society into account. In line with this, we incorporate the Principles for Responsible Investment, as stated by the UNEP Finance Initiative, into all our investment decisions. We select opportunities not only in terms of expected financial returns, but also from a social and environmental perspective.
We firmly belief that shareholder value can only be maximized if the interests of all stakeholders in an organization are taken into account. We only work, therefore, with corporations who acknowledge their responsibilities in relation to human rights, the environment, social policy, etc, and exclude non-sustainable investments.
The aim of the exclusion of non-sustainable investments is twofold:
1. To prevent investments in businesses that disregard the standards that Cyrte Investments values in the field of human rights, labor rights, corruption, bribery and the use of certain weapons
2. To prevent investments in countries/groups/entities/persons subject to sanctions imposed by the United Nations or the European Union.
We also select opportunities from a social and environmental perspective
